Lifelong SneakerHead

Over the holidays I did some digging through some boxes at my parents house. I’ve always loved Nike’s and sneakers my whole life as far back as I can remember. I got my first pair of Nike Air’s in 5th grade at the Rogue Valley Mall in Medford, Oregon when my family was up visiting my uncle for thanksgiving from southern California. We moved up to the Portland area from LA when I was in 6th grade and I was so excited to be close to the Nike. In 8th grade I wrote what I thought at the time was a  super long paper (5 pages) about the Nike Air sole. I cold called a designer, who’s name I found in a Phil Knight interview in a Sports Illustrated. He was kind enough to take the time to give me a tour around the campus, which all of these photos are a from. He also gave me tons of Nike stuff, along with Nike Air Sole for my project. From that day forward I’ve always have wanted to work for Nike. Well, I guess dreams do come true. I’ve done work not only for Nike, but a lot of other shoe companies with some of the top athletes in the world. (Thanks KAMP!)
